I believe there is no greater source of inspiration than nature. I deeply feel the influence of anonymous folk music that comes from the earth, as well as composers from the Romantic era. These days, I’m in a period where I’m arranging the music that has accumulated during intense flows of inspiration. I’m not expressing a feeling that my listeners don’t already have; it’s comforting for people to see that I also feel and live the emotions they already know. Music can be one way of coping with loneliness. What excites me most on stage is when many things unfold spontaneously outside of the general flow. Once, I was about to perform an unreleased song live for the first time, and during the second chorus, the whole audience started singing along loudly. It was an incredibly exciting moment. At the same time, it was a way of testing that I was doing something right. I often test many of my songs on stage before releasing them.
